Mukhina Nadezhda Nikolaevna
Nadezhda Nikolaevna Mukhina (born December 7, 1977, Yaroslavl, RSFSR, USSR) is a Russian ceramic artist, art historian, and academician of the Russian Academy of Arts (2011). She is the daughter of Soviet and Russian artist N. A. Mukhin (b. 1955).
Biography
Born on December 7, 1977 in Yaroslavl.
In 2000, she graduated with honors from the I. E. Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (Faculty of Theory and History of Art).
Since 2002, member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
In 2005, she defended her candidate's dissertation on the topic: "Religious Painting by Yaroslavl Artists at the Turn of the 20th–21st Centuries: Issues in the Formation of a Regional School."
Since 2008, member of the Moscow Union of Artists.
In 2011, elected Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts from the Department of Art Studies.
She is the Academic Secretary of the Scientific-Organizational Department for Coordination of Fundamental Scientific Research Programs and Innovative Projects at the Russian Academy of Arts.
