Leonid Mikhailovich Baranov
Born on December 30, 1943 in Moscow. From 1962 to 1968 studied at the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute in the workshop of N.V. Tomsky (supervised by M.F. Baburin and D.D. Zhilinsky). Diploma work - "William Shakespeare." Laureate of the Moscow Komsomol Prize.

Works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the Estonian Art Museum, the Arkhangelsk Regional Drama Theater named after M.V. Lomonosov, the collection of Peter Ludwig in Germany, and the Museum of Modern Art in Lodz, Poland.
