A porcelain figure group depicting a female Japanese with a child holding a drum, adorned with naturalistic, sculpted flowers and leaves on the base. The Japanese woman is seated on a rock, wearing a long, flower-patterned garment, with the drum-playing child on her lap. The polychrome painting is embellished with gold accents. This piece is attributed to either Johann Joachim Kaendler or another artist, with model number 2679. There are some minor restorations and it bears the crossed swords mark. It measures 14.5 cm in height. This is a rare variation of the original group design, which was originally conceived with two children.
