Prof. Julius Eduard Braunsdorf Runde, flat curved form. In the mirror, a large-scale arrangement of autumnal fruits, consisting of light and dark grapes, plums, and apple quince, accompanied by large, color-changing leaves in soft, polychrome painting. Gold rim. Unglazed base. Crossed swords mark. Diameter 48 cm. The decor stylistically follows the tradition of soft, translucent painting with contourless transitions by Prof. Julius Eduard Braunsdorf. J.E. Braunsdorf (1841-1922) broke away from the traditional Meissen bouquet painting and developed his own typical impressionistic, soft style, which left a lasting impression on Meissen flower painting. A large porcelain wall plate finely painted with an autumnal bouquet of fruits in the manner of Prof. J.E. Braunsdorf. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1935-1945.
