Two magnificent monumental potpourri vases.

With a view of Dresden, the Elbe landscape and floral decorations on a square base carried by rolled volute feet. Above a stepped, rocaille-relief round foot, a baluster-shaped vase body strongly bulging with a rounded shoulder and profiled rim. Elevated, surrounded by rocaille-reliefs, an openwork lid worked in relief with leaf motifs transitioning into a magnificent bouquet of flowers made from various extremely finely modeled open blossoms. Lateral relief-plastically ascending flower tendrils as handles. Finely modeled applied decoration with abundant festoons made from summer flowers and fruits. Below, a seated Flora or Amorette with a filled flower basket and garland. Above, floating Amorettes on each side of the wall hanging between colorfully scattered flower decorations, as well as a view of the Dresden Neumarkt with a view of the Frauenkirche or the view over the Elbe to Schloss Pillnitz. Fine polychrome painting with rich gold staffage. Possibly Johann Joachim Kaendler. Minimally damaged; restored; model number 2745. Sword mark. Meissen, 19th century. Overall height approximately 65 cm. Vase height 37 cm. Two monumental lidded porcelain potpourri vases and corresponding bases with finely applied flowers, cupids, and topographical views of Dresden and the surrounding area modeled by J. J. Kaendler. Minor chipped. Restored. Crossed swords mark. Meissen, 19th century.
