Swan service decor 1-flg .; From three-sided curved, profiled stand with strongly plastic shell reliefs volute-like ascending shaft with a winding pair of putti, transitioning into vase-shaped tulle from the so-called swan service. Fine polychrome painting with rich gold staffage. Either Johann Joachim Kaendler and Johann Friedrich Eberlein, around 1739. Sword mark. H. 24 cm. The design resembles that of a chandelier with putti by the French sculptor and architect Juste Aurèle Meissonnier. A copperplate of this chandelier by Louis Desplaces from the period between 1723-1735 is located in the archive of the State Porcelain Manufactory Meissen.
