Swan service decor, consisting of a three-sided curved and profiled stand with strongly sculpted shell reliefs, volute-like ascending shaft with a pair of winding putti, transitioning into vase-shaped tulles from the so-called swan service. Displayed, cartridge-framed alliance coat of arms of the Count of Brühl and his wife (Brühl-Kolowrat-Krakowsky coat of arms). Fine polychrome painting with rich gold staffage. Possibly by Johann Joachim Kaendler and Johann Friedrich Eberlein, around 1739. Partially hairline crack. Blue crossed swords mark. Height 24 cm. The design resembles that of a chandelier with putti by the French sculptor and architect Juste Aurèle Meissonnier. A copperplate print of this chandelier by Louis Desplaces from the period between 1723 and 1735 is located in the archive of the State Porcelain Manufactory Meissen. See Pietzsch, Catalogue Swan Service, illustration 41 and number 100. A pair of splendid porcelain candelabras with Swan Service decor and the alliance coat of arms of the Count of Brühl and his wife. Partly hairline crack. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Second half of the 20th century.
