Frontal, passive, curved base with reliefed wave band and oak leaf borders. Composed group of three cupids with hammer and chisel, pencil and sketching board, or with the so-called torso of Belvedere. In the middle, a standing sculptor's easel with tools and a bust of the laurel-crowned Tsarina Catherine II of Russia. Polychrome painting with rich gold decoration. Possibly by Michel Victor Acier. Represents a figure group designed by Acier in 1774 for the so-called "Great Russian Order" for Tsarina Catherine II of Russia, named Catherine the Great, for Oranienbaum Palace.
