Frontally curved base with relief ornament borders. Composition of a group of three amorini with transverse flute and music stand, lyre and trumpet, arranged over rocky terrain. In the center, a seated putto as Apollo with laurel wreath and lyre. At his feet, a stack of books with violin and bow. Polychrome painting with gold staffage. Possibly by Michel Victor Acier. Model number 10. Restored; minor damage. Sword mark. Height 22.5 cm. Representation of a figure group designed by Acier in 1774 for the so-called "Great Russian Order" for Empress Catherine II of Russia, known as Catherine the Great. See Pietzsch, Kat. Meissen for the Tsars, fig. 35, p. 107. An allegorical porcelain figure group of the music for the "Great Russian Order" of Catherine the Great. Restored. Minor chipped. Crossed swords mark.
