A brass and pewter silver-plated bowl. Flat base, transitioning into a tall, compressed, bulging body that rounds off at the shoulder. Cylindrical neck and slightly stepped convex lid with a ladle opening. On the visible side, a strongly stylized grapevine emerges from the base, with two curved grapevines, forming a cartouche in the middle. The shoulder is adorned with a relief band depicting glasses. Hammered decoration all around. Vegetal-shaped, pierced and applied handles. The lid with a correspondingly designed handle. Tin ladle and cylindrical acrylic insert added later; ladle with manufacturer's mark "Keyser". Height 41 cm. 46 cm x 37 cm. A large German Art Nouveau silver-plated brass lidded bowl with later added acrylic inset and silver-plated tin ladle. Ladle with manufacturer's mark "Keyser". German, circa 1900.
