(1868 Baden-Baden - 1921 Berlin) Female Nude Bronze, dark patinated. Signed; black, lightly veined marble base, damaged; On a round plinth, standing in contrapposto, a nude of a young woman with her hair tied up high and her hands held behind her back, her head turned to the left in profile. Rare, large bronze statuette by Rauch, who became particularly known since 1896/97 for his sculptures and statues for buildings in Berlin as well as other works in public space, including the architecturally significant department store Wertheim by Alfred Messel. From 1919, Rauch taught architectural sculpture at the Technical University of Charlottenburg. Bronze - H. 54.7 cm; Total H. 61 cm. Dark patinated bronze. Signed. Flaws to the marble base.
