Representation 33.8 cm x 47.9 cm. Frame. Gerhard Fietz studied at the Academy in Breslau under Alexander Kanoldt and Oskar Schlemmer, and subsequently transferred to the Academy in Düsseldorf. In 1937, he became a master student under Kanoldt in Berlin. Fitz was a co-founder of the artist group ZEN 49 and opposed traditional representational art. He developed a painting style that focused on the exploration of artistic means, collaborating with painters such as Willi Baumeister, Fritz Winter, or Rupprecht Geiger. This silk screen in colors on linen is signed and dated.
