The painter and graphic artist Peter Ilsted painted with a preference for interior scenes and was one of the leading Danish artists at the beginning of the 20th century, alongside Vilhelm Hammershøi, Carl Holsoe, and the Skagen painters (Peder Severin Krøyer, Anna and Michael Ancher). Plate size approximately 30 cm x 26.5 cm; sheet approximately 36.5 cm x 31 cm. Framed. Mezzotint on paper, 1911. Signed or inscribed.
