(1898 Leeuwarden - 1972 Hilversum) after "Other World" / "Andere wereld" (Other World). Original title Offset / Paper. After the woodcut from the year 1947 (Wvz. Bool 348). The world-renowned graphic artist, who was born in 1898 in Leeuwarden and passed away in 1972 in Hilversum, began his career at the age of 40 with his typical, surreal, spatially impossible representations. In "Other World," he combines a Moorish palace in two perspectives with wooden, moon-faced doves from three perspectives, a lunar landscape, and a night sky. German description; sheet approximately 49.5 cm x 39 cm. Framed. After Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972). Offset print on paper. After the woodcut by the artist from 1947 (Bool 348). Minor flaws.
