"Carnations" Baluster-shaped, six-fold facetted body with a conically drawn-in shoulder and a short neck. Corresponding, overhanging hood cover with a pointed knob. On the wall, between C-shaped framed scale backgrounds with stylized flowers, a large, symmetrically arranged floral decoration consisting of protruding, four-petaled Turk's cap lilies alternating with carnation stems. The neck with flower-filled square reserves. Corresponding carnation decoration bordered by scale background in oval reserves on the lid. Finely graduated blue painting underglaze. Model number Q 165. Unidentified restoration; crossed swords mark. Height 43.5 cm. Numerous plant representations in blue painting are associated with Otto Eduard Voigt (1870-1949). The painter, who previously worked at KPM in Berlin, was employed as a flower painter at the Meissen Manufactory in 1896.
