Ahlden/Aller - 9-09-2023
On a high, naturalistically designed round pedestal, there is a dynamically moving group of two fighting golden eagles. The polychrome, naturalistic underglaze painting is either by Karl Tutter, 1937, or by an associated artist. The piece is minimally damaged and has been restored, with a manufacturer's mark. It measures 62 cm in height. Provenance: From the estate of a significant private collection in Northern Germany. A large porcelain figure group depicting two fighting golden eagles. The designer's signature is incised. There are minor chips, but the piece has been restored. It bears the manufacturer's mark of Hutschenreuther. Created around 1955-1968.
