Rare Art Nouveau Figure "Parisian Woman"

On a rectangular pedestal stands an elegantly dressed lady, wearing a contemporary costume and hairstyle of the Belle Époque. Her brunette hair, styled in an updo, is covered by a delicate yellow hat adorned with an opulent bird ornament. The painting is done in pastel tones. Possibly by Theodor Eichler, 1908. Model number X 171. Minimal damage/restoration; crossed swords mark. Height: 30 cm. The fashionable ladies of the Belle Époque were a popular subject in Meissen porcelain sculptures at the beginning of the 20th century. Besides Theodor Eichler, Alfred König, Konrad Hentschel, and Philipp Lange also dedicated themselves to depicting these so-called fashion ladies. Provenance: From the estate of a significant private collection in northern Germany. A rare Art Nouveau porcelain figure of an elegant dressed lady with a hat decorated with a large bird.
