On a profiled, gold-rimmed round pedestal sits a young mother in a white, floral-patterned dress, deeply engrossed in the joyful play with her son sitting on her lap. Polychrome painting. Model number B 215. Attributed to Paul Helmig, circa 1911-1912. Restored; crossed swords mark. Height 18.5 cm. Paul Helmig (1859-1939) worked as a modeler at the Meissen Manufactory from 1882 until his retirement in 1925, following his training as a chaser. See Just, Meissen Jugendstil Porzellane, p. 156.
