On an oval, floral reliefed base, a kneeling boy is playing with a toy locomotive, wearing short green trousers and a lilac-colored shirt. At his feet lies a lying ball. Polychrome painting. Possibly by Emmerich Oehler, 1909. Model number A 232. Sword mark. Height 15.5 cm. The Meissen manufactory acquired several children models from Oehler, which show clear stylistic parallels to the famous "Hentschel children". Provenance: From the estate of a significant North German private collection. An Art Nouveau porcelain figure of a child with a toy locomotive. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Around 1909-1923.
