On a reliefed, gold-contoured round pedestal, in a dancing posture, and with raised arm, stands a young peasant boy in traditional Altenburg costume, known as the Malcher costume. Polychrome painting. Either by Hugo Spieler, around 1897/98. Model number Q 190a. Minimal restoration. Sword mark. Height 16 cm. From a series of 25 costume figures by the sculptor Hugo Spieler. Pendant to the figure "Hormetjungfer" (model number Q 190b). Provenance: From the estate of a significant North German private collection.
