On a naturalistic, round pedestal adorned with sheaves of wheat stands a young peasant girl during the harvest in traditional Altenburg costume. The painting is polychrome. It is either by Hugo Spieler, around 1897/98, model number Q 190, with minimal restoration; sword mark, height 14 cm. It is part of a series of 25 costume figures by the sculptor Hugo Spieler. Provenance: From the estate of a significant private collection in northern Germany. A rare porcelain figure of a peasant girl in traditional Altenburg costume. Minor restoration.
