Round, reliefed plaster terrain base, covered with plastic coal heads. Standing on a boundary stone with the coat of arms of Hamburg, a farmer in traditional attire of the Vierlande (Hamburg) with breeches, a short jacket, and silver buttons, contemplating the gold and silver coins lying in his outstretched right hand. The left hand is in the trouser pocket. Polychrome painting with platinum staffage. Possibly by Hugo Spieler, around 1897/98. Model number Q 190 r. Small firing cracks. Sword mark. Height 17 cm. From a series of 25 costume figures by the sculptor Hugo Spieler. Provenance: From the estate of a significant North German private collection.
