On an oval, profiled base, an intimate, young peasant couple stands together during the harvest. The girl wears an earthen-colored dress and carries a sickle for cutting. The young man hides a bouquet of flowers behind his back, holding it in his left hand, while he places his right hand on her shoulder. Polychrome painting with little gold and platinum. Possibly Gustave Deloy, around 1895/96. Model number P 164. Minor restoration; sword mark. Height 21 cm. Provenance: From the estate of a significant North German private collection.
