Oval, naturalistic pedestal. On a rock washed by water, sits a half-dressed, leaning on a lyre, mythical figure of Loreley, partially enveloped in a pink-colored cloth. The long, wavy hair is crowned with a laurel wreath, with the head tilted downwards towards a large, winding fish. Polychrome painting with gold accents. Possibly by Ludwig Schwanthaler, around 1882-1885. Model number N 109. Minimal restoration; sword mark. Height 19 cm. Provenance: From the estate of a significant North German private collection. A porcelain figure of the German legendary figure "Loreley" with lyre. Minor restoration. Crossed swords mark. Meissen, around 1900.
