Brass, silver-plated. Graceful rechaud made of 14 thin, outwardly curved struts, centrally with a ball-like tea light holder. Rounded jug-shaped body with a deep-set, high-rising, curved, spiral-shaped metal-wrapped handle and a swung, pointed spout. Round lid with a curved strut as a knob. Perforated cylindrical insert. According to the manufacturer's mark. H. 29.5 cm. Lino Sabattini (1925-2016) was an Italian goldsmith and designer. Recommended by the renowned architect and designer Gio Ponti (1891-1979), Sabattini became the chief designer of the French silverware manufacturer Christofle in Paris from 1958 to 1964 before founding a workshop in Bregnano in 1964.
