Brown stoneware, glazed in brown. Tulle with hinged lid made of pewter. Pewter lid with ball pusher, engraved monogram and date 'C.E.H 1778'. Concealed tulle lace intact, repaired at the knob; height 24.5 cm. A Saxon pewter-lidded stoneware ewer. Chip to the tip of the covered spout, knob repaired. Saxony, 18th century.
