Decorated with applied and polychrome enamel-painted decoration consisting of a princely portrait, flower stems, and palmettes or vine motifs with grapes; vertical division by lilac leaf-like, vertical pilaster bands in relief. Tin-mounted base and tin lid with shell thumbpiece, city and master's mark with date 1708. Height 24.5 cm. A Saxon pewter-mounted stoneware jug ("Birnkrug") with polychrome enamel relief decor. Saxony, Dippoldiswalde. Around 1700.
