Silver. Over a flat base, a bulging rising body. Walls and curved lid divided into four sections by three vertical lines. Monogram "J.M.H." on the underside. Gilded inside. Engraved marks, mostly by master Johann Ludwig Hummel the younger (became a master around 1742), Prussian tax stamp. Weight approximately 60 grams. Height 4 cm. 7.5 cm x 6 cm. Compare with Hintze, Schlesien, page 135, 137. A small Silesian Baroque monogrammed silver sugar box by Johann Ludwig Hummel the younger (master since approximately 1742). Gilt inside. Assay and master's mark. Prussian tax mark. Schlesien. Liegnitz. Around 1750.
