A French Louis XV silver wine tasting bowl with a shallow shape and a slightly recessed base, featuring a rounded and smooth wall with a sculpted snake-shaped ring handle. On the edge of the wall, there is an engraved coat of arms with a lion and a French fleur-de-lis in the shield. There are also unidentified maker's marks and assay marks. The weight is approximately 75 grams, with a height of 2.5 cm and a diameter of 7.5 cm. This piece can be compared to similar wine tasting bowls in Helft, number 133, as well as in Plate X C and Plate XCI. Made in France, Angers, between 1734 and 1740.
