A French Louis XV silver wine tasting bowl with inscription and engraved coat of arms. Assay marks, so far unknown master's mark "P J T". Frankreich. Sens. Um 1750. Translation: So-called wine tasting cup. Silver. Flat bowl with a slightly recessed base and rounded, smooth walls with a sculpted snake-shaped ring handle adorned with relief snake skin decoration. The rim of the bowl is marked with a location indication, and the underside features an engraved coat of arms with a lion and a French lily on a shield. The piece is marked with the maker's mark "P J T", which is currently unidentified. It weighs approximately 115 grams and measures 2.5 cm in height and 8.5 cm in diameter.
