From the table service of Princess Auguste of Württemberg (1826-1898) comes this exquisite silver piece. The deep, intricately carved mirror transitions into a wide, ascending flag adorned with the finely engraved and crowned monogram "A" of Princess Auguste, daughter of King Wilhelm I of Württemberg and Queen Pauline. The narrow, recessed edge is artistically embellished with a delicate leaf frieze in relief. The plate measures a minimum of 33.5 cm in diameter and weighs approximately 1195 grams. The piece bears the hallmark of the manufacturer, indicated by the tremolo stroke and the year letter "S". This magnificent German Biedermeier silver plate, now in the possession of Princess Auguste, showcases the craftsmanship of the renowned Stuttgart court jeweler Eduard Foehr, dating back to around 1850.
