Sterling silver, so-called Britannia silver. Round, small convex base, transitioning into wide, sweeping, bulging body. Base and lower half of body adorned with relief sculpted friezes. Show side engraved and richly decorated with alliance coat of arms. Below the broad rim, a corded band encircles a embossed, stylized flower border. Hallmarks, assay marks, date letter "H", maker's mark. Weight approximately 845g. Height 14.5cm, diameter 24.5cm. See Jackson, page 233.
