Silver. Over four stylized feet, adorned at the base with relief sculpted rocailles, a strongly bulging, pear-shaped body with a high-set, short, partially covered console spout. Slightly domed hinged lid with a fully sculpted knob in the form of a budding branch. Body, lid, and spout extensively decorated with relief sculpted lavish rocaille ornamentation, C-curves, stylized acanthus leaf, and shellwork. Side baluster stem made of ebonized wood. Marked 800, maker's mark, German Berlin, Körner & Proll, circa 1900. Comparable to Schefller, Berlin, number 2026. A heavy German Rococo style silver chocolate pot.
