(1911 Berlin - 1967 Ziegelhausen) "Youth". Original title Bronze, patinated in nuanced brown tones. Signed; on an irregular plinth, standing in contrapposto, the nude of a girl or a young woman with her arm supported on her left hip. Bronze of the classical modernism, created at the end of the 1930s. Robert Stieler was a master student of Fritz Klimsch and subsequently of Richard Scheibe at the Prussian Academy of Arts. Stieler's most artistically successful period was in the 1930s. In 1935, he won the Grand State Prize of the Academy of Arts and was recognized in the professional literature as a promising talent of a new generation of sculptors; in 1935/36, he had his residency as a scholarship holder at Villa Massimo in Rome.
