In 1915, Herzog first exhibited in Herwarth Walden's "Sturm-Galerie" in Berlin and subsequently belonged to his favored sculptors - in 1919, he counted him among the most important sculptors alongside Alexander Archipenko and William Wauer. After World War I, Herzog joined the November Group, 1919-1933, he regularly participated in the Great Berlin Art Exhibition, also multiple times in the exhibitions of the Academy of Arts.
