(1884 Berlin - 1968 Paris) Women's Head Bronze, with an uncertain brown patina. Signed; Red-brown, white-veined marble pedestal. Modern bronze sculpture by the sculptor who studied at the Berlin Academy and received the prestigious State Prize for Sculpture in 1913. Placzek undertook study trips to Paris and Rome, participated in the Olympic Art Competitions in 1932 and 1936. In 1936, he created the official participant medal for the Olympic Games in Berlin; Bronze H. 19.5 cm; Total H. 28 cm. Brown patinated bronze. Signed. Marble base.
