Abstracted head sculpture made of longitudinally and transversely intersecting, freely cut and partially sharp-edged, glazed porcelain plates and form elements. Plastic eyes and an eyebrow applied. Vibrant colors, partially glazed with broad brush strokes, executed in polychrome on-glaze painting. Form and decor designed and executed by Olaf Fieber (born 1966 in Meissen). Artist's signature with date "O. Fieber (19)'95". Incised unique number 131/1995. Label from the Meissen Museum, Sapporo, 2000. Crossed swords mark. Height 39 cm. 17.5 cm x 18 cm. The sculpture, created in the artistic workshops of the State Porcelain Manufactory Meissen, is a one-of-a-kind object in terms of its form and painting.
