Small Baroque Ciborium

Silver, fully gilded. Multiple stepped, curved foot with a slightly recessed round base along the edge. Trumpet-shaped shaft attachment, transitioning into a short baluster shaft, centrally divided by two pressed nodi adorned with gadroons. Bulbous, upward-swinging cuppa with a smooth rim zone and a centrally encompassing pearl band. Slightly domed hinged lid with a central, conical baluster finial. Lid, lower cuppa wall, and base adorned with highly relief-plastic bandelwork decor, alternating with acanthus leafwork and flower calyx decor over punched ground. Engraved, tremolo stroke, by Master Georg Azwanger (became a master in 1703). Weight approximately 205 g. Height 14 cm. See Seling, 2007, No. 1965, BZ 1610 ff.
