Silver. Divided into four sections, with rolled-up feet, oval, bulging body with curved, profiled hinged lid. Lid and walls divided by gracefully curved, vertical pulls, adorned with rocaille decor. The lid decorated with relief and stylized tulip blossom. On the edge, or rather on the back, delicately engraved monogram "D.B." and date 1787, later additions, and an unclear monogram and date "1886". With tremolo stroke, inspection marks, master marks "R" or "K". Possibly a master from the Richter family. Weight approximately 225 g. Height 8.5 cm. 11 cm x 9 cm. Compare Schefler, Central and Northeast Germany, BZ 789. A very rare East German Rococo silver sugar box. Monogrammed and dated twice. Test, assay, and master's mark "R" or "K", possibly a master from the Richter family. Lusatia. Sorau. 2nd half of the 18th century.
