Oval plate with ascending multiple profiled and passig curved edge, carried by four pierced worked, at the base adorned with reliefed rocailles decorated volute feet. The long sides show with each one of C-curves, shell and foliage framed cartouche. The short sides correspondingly decorated with volutes and rocailles. Smooth mirror. The underside covered with screwed wood. Weight approx. 3000 g. H. 6.5 cm. 55.5 cm x 41.5 cm. The Surtout de table is a table centerpiece, which has been placed on festively set tables primarily in the households of princely estates since the 17th century.
