Exceedingly exquisite Louis XVI - Menage

Silver, colorless crystal glass. Four pierced and worked volute feet, decorated at the base with fanned foliage, transitioning into a long, pointed oval bowl. Softly swaying, curved wall with multiple profiled edge, ending on the sides in a cartouche framed by laurel wreaths and rocailles. In the mirror, two mounted, conical supports made of filigree pierced volutes, foliage, grapevines, and mascarons for two floral-cut glass carafes. On the longitudinal sides, two smaller support rings for the curved, flower-shaped cannelured carafe lids. Restored. Hallmarks, Parisian leaseholder's stamp by Jean Baptiste Fouache (1774-1777), master Joseph Bouillerot (active since 1759), year letter "L". Weight without carafes approx. 630 g. A very fine French Louis XVI silver and cut crystal glass oil and vinegar set by Joseph Bouillerot (active since 1759). Restored. Assay marks and master's mark, dated. France. Paris. 1775.
