Silver. Flat, oval base transitioning into a curved body with smooth walls. Bombed hinged lid adorned with applied pearl band, centrally crowned by a fully sculpted branch with pears as a knob. Gilded on the inside. Signed, hallmarked, master Daniel Dendler (became a master in 1787). Weight approximately 300 g. Height 10 cm. 13 cm x 9.3 cm. Compare with Köszeeghy No. 1280, 1479. A rare Hungarian Baroque silver sugar box by Daniel Dendler (master since 1787). Gilt inside. Assay and master's mark. Hungarian Hermannstadt. Around 1800.
