Sterling silver. Spherical, bulging, smooth bowl with a slightly protruding lip rim, supported by three fully plasticized feet in the form of dolphins. Showily engraved coat of arms with a lavish helmet crest. Marked 925, maker's mark, pseudo marks, as well as British import marks for Chester with the date letter "J" and dealer's mark of B. Muller & Son. Weight approximately 285 g. Height 9 cm. Diameter 13.5 cm. Provenance: From a private collection in Brandenburg. Acquired in 2007 at Christie's London, auction 7381 "From the Collection of King George I of the Hellenes," lot 296. A small German Historicism sterling silver bowl with engraved coat of arms.
