Silver. Ovoid, profiled, and ascending stand with a short, strongly drawn-in shaft, transitioning into a curved, widely swinging, smooth body. Crowned by a domed lid with a faceted handle. Stand, cup, and lid eight times wide, facetted. The edge of the body surrounded by a gadrooned band. On the sides, two high ascending, faceted handles. The lid engraved on the visible side with a dedication inscription "KAISER WILHELM II DEM SIEGER DÜSSELDORF 23. JUNI 1912." Gilded inside. Marked 800, maker's mark, dealer's mark. Weight approximately 4275 g. Height 41.5 cm. 50.5 cm x 23 cm. The so-called "Herrnreiter" contributed from the beginning of horse racing in Germany from 1822 to 1914 to an ever-increasing popularity of German horse racing. It primarily involved amateur riders, predominantly from wealthy military and noble families. Major A.D. Helmut von Bock und Pollach won the so-called "Kaiserpreis" as such a Herrnreiter on his horse "Liebesritter" at the Düsseldorfer Kaiserjagdrennen on June 23, 1912. A large representative German silver honorary prize donated by Kaiser Wilhelm II for the winner of the Emperor's Award hunting race Major (ret.) Helmut von Bock und Polach in 1912.
