Colorless glass. Lightly conical shape on polygonal peeled, bell-shaped foot. Rich, surface-covering decor in gilded matte cut, enamel, gold, and silver painting. On both sides, a coat of arms in round scrollwork cartouches with an upright, crowned lion or a three-towered castle with a right arm and sword, framed by a wreath with ribbons. The background of the vessel with rich leaf and flower tendrils and four running dogs, under the lip a border with Renaissance ornaments and the date 1490. Height 22.6 cm. A splendid German or Austrian, probably Lobmeyr, armorial glass beaker with engraved, gold, silver, and enamel decor. Dated 1940. German or Austrian, likely Vienna. J. & L. Lobmeyr. End of the 19th century.
