Какая потрясающая статуэтка! Её детали и яркие цвета реально поражают воображение, особенно дракон с женщиной и младенцем. Символика также впечатляет — столько глубины и истории в одном искусственном образе!

Characteristics
Description

Standing on a spherical pedestal is the Virgin Mary, dressed in a long, intricately folded robe decorated with Indian flowers and an impressive, billowing cloak rendered in relief sculpture. In her hands, she holds the Infant Christ with a golden cross. On the side there is a platinum-silver crescent moon. The figure is polychrome, partially gilded, and features high-quality painting with later-added golden accents. Possibly crafted by Johann Joachim Kaendler. Model number 903. Comes with a black wooden pedestal. Marked with the white porcelain statuette and crossed swords. Height: 44.5 cm. This model statuette was likely made by order of Maria Josepha of Austria (1699-1757), wife of Augustus III. In 1737, she commissioned four figures of Mary from Kaendler. See Pietzsch, Catalogue of Meissen Porcelain Statuette Sculpture, Kirchner and Kaendler, No. 133. Large porcelain statue "Maria de Victoria" made by K. Kaendler. Painted at a later date. Marked with the white porcelain statuette and crossed swords. Meissen. Mid-20th century.
