Description
As counterparts, these fully sculpted putti are crafted with great plasticity. They depict a reclining, flattened putto with a flowing-colored or light blue cloth, holding an oval profile frame adorned with plastic applied flower garlands. The polychrome painting is embellished with gold staffage. These pieces are attributed to either Johannes Daniel Schreitmüller, 1880, model numbers L 192 and L 193. They are without reflecting glass and have insignificant chips or restorations. The crossed swords mark indicates Meissen. These rare small porcelain wall mirrors feature cupid figures and date from the late 19th century.
