Description

Allegories of the seasons, depicted on an elegantly curved pedestal, are represented by busts of girls and boys embodying Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The heads are decorated with plastic appliqués of lily-of-the-valley and grapevine wreaths, or topped with a summer hat adorned with flowers and ears of grain, as well as a scarf with spruce twigs. Possibly attributed to Heinrich Schwabe, 1876-1877. Polychrome painting with gilded staffage. Model numbers K 175, K 176, K 177, K 178. Partially restored and exhibit minor damages.
