
Silver, partially gilded. Flat, star-shaped plate with slightly concave, round and smooth mirror. Width, surrounded by delicate wave band, eight-fold drawn-in flag. On top, emerging from the tips, large-leaved plants, partially ending in lush narcissus and anemone blossoms. On the underside, several inventory numbers and engraved "X 813". Signed, tremolo strokes, inspection marks, Master Harman Lüders (active since 1658), Russian import marks "74" with inspection marks for St. Petersburg, dated "1763". Weight approximately 320 g. Diameter 23.5 cm. Hamburger silver works, which have been in circulation since the 16th century, as commissioned works or as gifts from envoys to Moscow, where they are still kept today in the Kremlin's armoury. Through the expanded trade relations in the 18th century, Hamburg silver also found its way into Russian private ownership.
