L Series Steam Locomotive, Silver Introducing the latest creation by Igor Kolomiychenko's Sculpture Workshop – a silver figure of the industrial L Series steam locomotive. The L locomotive (L — for L. S. Lebedyansky; until 1947 — P — 'Pobeda'; factory designation — P32 — type 32 locomotive) is a Soviet mainline freight steam locomotive of the 1-5-0 type, developed at the end of the Great Patriotic War by Kolomna Works and VNIIZhT under the guidance of designer L. S. Lebedyansky and academician S. P. Syromyatnikov, and produced from 1945 to 1955.
